Career Technical Centre
Imagine graduating high school with one year of college already completed!
The Career Technical Centre program is a partnership between School District 57 and the College of New Caledonia. This partnership allows high school students to have a unique opportunity to take their first year of trades training at CNC while earning dual credits, graduating ready to enter the workforce as an apprentice. Students can choose from a wide variety of trades including automotive service technician, carpentry, electrical, heavy mechanical, metal fabrication, piping, professional cook, and welding. For students interested in trades but unsure of which one to pursue, the Career Technical Center offers Youth Explore Trades Sampler, open to student in Grades 10-12. This program allows students to explore up to four different trades gaining basic knowledge and skill for everyday life, or to guide them on which trade to follow. Check out the CTC website for up-to-date information and registration details. Follow the CTC online to see what they are up to, learn about application deadlines and be in the know for everything CTC, on Facebook @CTCSmartMove or Instagram @ctcsmartmove.
