Youth Work in Trades
Are you working in a trade? If so, you could be eligible for the following benefits:
- School Credit - 4 Elective credits for every 120 hours you work.
- Hours are reported toward trade certification.
- $1000.00 award*
You are eligible if you:
- are between 15 and 19 years of age
- are enrolled in a school in grade 10, 11 or 12
- have paid work in an certified trade
- have a certified tradesperson as a sponsor
- have parent/guardian permission.
* $1000 Reward Criteria
- Registered with SkilledTradesBC as a youth apprentice.
- Graduated with a Regular/Adult Dogwood.
- Maintained a minimum C+ average in Grade 12 courses.
- Have 900 hours or more reported on your apprenticeship transcript by August 31st of the year you turn 19.
- have parent/guardian permission.
